Sodium Lignonsulphonate:

 

The total recovery rate of conventional primary oil recovery (POR) and secondary oil recovery (SOR) can only reach 20%~40%, and the maximum is 50%. Almost half of the crude oil fails to be recovered. Therefore, it is necessary to use tertiary oil recovery technology to improve the oil recovery rate in the later stage of oil field exploitation. Up to now, there are the following methods for tertiary oil recovery: (1)thermal flooding, including steam flooding and burning reservoir; (2) miscible flooding, including COz miscible, hydrocarbon miscible and other inert gas miscible; (3) Chemical flooding, including polymer flooding, surfactant flooding, alkali flooding and concentrated sulfuric acid flooding; Microbial oil recovery, including biopolymer, microbial surface-active flooding.

 

 

Among them, surfactant flooding is a very effective method and one of the most used chemical flooding methods at present. Surfactant flooding can enhance oil recovery by reducing oil-water interfacial tension and increasing capillary number.

 

 

In surfactant flooding, due to the adsorption of rock surface, a large amount of surfactant is lost, thus increasing the cost. Therefore, in order to reduce the loss of surfactant, the formation is often pretreated with a sacrificial agent before surfactant injection, or the sacrificial agent is injected into the formation with the surfactant. Sacrifice agent can be adsorbed on the rock surface or into the rock seam, so as to reduce the loss of surfactants and polymers, sacrifice agent refers to their own loss to reduce the loss of other chemical agents cheap chemical agent. Lignosulfonates and their modified products are now considered to have the greatest potential because they are by-products of the paper industry and are widely available and inexpensive.
